Affiliate disclosure
US Natural Hot Springs is free to use and is run by Alex Duplechain. It pays for itself through affiliate links and ads, set out below. Some links on this site are affiliate links, and we earn a commission if you book or buy through them. A booking or purchase costs you the same either way.
Listings cannot pay for placement
Every listing is free, and there is nothing for an operator to buy: no paid listings, no upgrades, no sponsored rankings. Commissions and ads never influence which springs are listed, how they are ranked, or the evidence shown for them. State pages rank springs by what is confirmed — verified geothermal activity first, then how many facts carry a source, then review volume — as described on the methodology page.
Affiliate links
Affiliate links are marked in the page code as sponsored, with a disclosure next to them on the page. These are the ones the site uses:
- Lodging (Stay22). The “Where to stay” or “Camping & lodging nearby” map on listing pages is embedded from Stay22, which shows places to stay near the spring from partners such as Booking.com and Vrbo. The “See all stays near this spring” and “See stays” links go to the same service. If you book through them, we may earn a commission. Permanently closed listings have no lodging map or links.
- Gear (Amazon). The “View on Amazon” links in the packing checklist and the gear suggestion in the packing guide go to Amazon searches with our Associates tag. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Not affiliate links: the “Campgrounds” and “Find campsites” buttons go to a Recreation.gov campground search with no tracking code, and we earn nothing from them. Links to an operator’s own website and to Google Maps directions earn nothing either.
Ads
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Ad code is only placed on pages with enough of their own content, such as guides, collections, the home page, larger state pages and listings with at least one sourced fact. It is never on listings kept out of search, permanently closed listings, thin pages, the matcher quiz, or pages like this one, /about, /contact, /privacy, /terms and /methodology. Google and its partners use cookies to serve and measure ads; how that works and the choices you have are in the privacy policy.
