Tips before you go
Practical notes from operators, land managers and published sources — plus reviews written here.
Summer (June-November): drive in. The Forest Service says Warren Wagon Road is paved for the first 30 miles north of McCall; turn left on Burgdorf Road (Forest Road 246), a gravel road, and go about 2 miles to the resort. The operator says it can be reached by car via Warren Wagon Road in summer. Winter (December-April): snowmobile only. Warren Wagon Road becomes a groomed snowmobile trail from the Francis Wallace parking lot, where the plowed road ends, about 23 miles from Burgdorf; wheeled vehicles are not permitted. Park at the Brush Creek or Francis Wallace lot and pay the parking fee. The resort closes for short periods in late fall and early spring when the road is impassable. Operator: entry to the property is by reservation only, booked online up to 90 days ahead. Public swims run 10 AM-6 PM, closed Wednesdays, and the pool closes two days a month for draining. Cabins have no electricity or running water. Sources: http://www.burgdorfhotsprings.com/ , https://www.burgdorfhotsprings.com/faq/
Outhouse facilities are located in the parking lot, behind the dressing rooms and within walking distance from each cabin.
