The National Park Service lists the Arizona Hot Springs trail as 5 miles out and back (about 2.5 miles each way), or 5.69 miles round trip as a loop with the White Rock Canyon trail, with about 750 feet of elevation change and 4 to 8 hours for the round trip. A 20-foot ladder connects the two trails. The route is not maintained. Source: https://www.nps.gov/thingstodo/hike-the-arizona-hot-springs-trail.htm
Lake Mead National Recreation Area closes this trail every year from May 15 through September 30, and also whenever Willow Beach is forecast to reach 95°F. The springs stay open by boat on Lake Mohave during the trail closure. A park entrance pass is required; there is no separate fee to soak.
NPS reports geothermal water at 111 to 120°F, discharging about 30 to 50 gallons per minute through faults in the rock. Sandbagging or otherwise altering the pools is prohibited. The GNIS name is Ringbolt Hot Spring. Pit toilets sit about 200 yards downstream along the Colorado River, and there is no drinking water at the trailhead.
The nearest mapped road, Hoover Dam–Kingman Highway, is 1.86 miles from the spring in a straight line. That distance is shorter than the trail. The trailhead parking is just off U.S. Highway 93 before milepost 4, south of Hoover Dam.
