Tips before you go
Practical notes from operators, land managers and published sources — plus reviews written here.
Limited parking so pays to get there early.
Expect to see a lot of people, especially on weekend, early morning is best for environment contrast with mountains and water.
Parking is limited, it's an easy hike, it costs some money, but it's beautiful and well worth it.
In addition, the Forest Service may bring a civil suit against you to pay for the costly restoration.
Not free: $12 per person per 2 hours (ages 12 and older), paid on site; no passes honored. The fee area covers the hot springs, trail, lagoon and parking lot. Source: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r06/willamette/recreation/terwilliger-cougar-hot-springs
